Duo Ruiz-Torres consists of Héctor Alfonso Torres and Jone Ruiz, both born in Puerto Rico. Dedicated soloist, they met while studying their Master's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where their love for Puerto Rican music lead them to create this duo, mostly dedicated to playing the music from the island.

They started playing together in 2013, and since have been invited to play around the Milwaukee and Chicago area.
